This is not a dig on my friends that work at Starbucks. They gave me a fat check to play their headquarters and the guy that booked us just happened to be a person of color you could say, and he is wonderful young man. A dare say Angelic.
But America, corporate America, City of Brotherly Love, Apartheid, The Declaration of Independence, MAGA, you have all been exposed once again.
I hope Starbucks’ stock tanks. Not that I want a Seattle business to fail. But rather because money is the only language America really understands.
Dollars. Especially imaginary f☆cking dollars. But actual humans? Not so much.
Imagine how much more hell African Americans would have to pay if their culture wasn’t a cash machine and bad cops didn’t flinch because they are afraid they might be dashing their city’s Superbowl prospects, instead of just harassing or blasting young Black professionals.
It’s called Apartheid. Nobody has ever explained Northern Racism and ghettoes by design better than Randy Newman in ‘Rednecks’.
America, you have have had 250 years to get it together. Dump Trump and get it together.
