Behold the latest video from Giovanna Paola, an Italian metal and rock singer who has just gifted the world with a lovely veritas pop single and accompanying video. The title, “Senza Via Di Fuga” means “no getaway” in English. In the song she hopes to “to reflect upon personalities and society, psychology and sociology in a mainstream and subtle way.” Sadly, because of COVID restrictions, she does not appear in the video.
When asked why she, as an Italian singer, is reaching out to the heart of East Portland, she is not shy in sharing her hopes of global connection and human resonance: “Music has its own language and my single speaks it.”
Paola studied Holistic Medicine and Music Therapy Techniques for Wellness at the Berklee College of Music in 2019 and since then she has been composing music as “a therapy technique based on sounds before words, on the process before the result.”
