Michael Buono – “Hero”

New York-based indie pop singer/songwriter Michael Buono, has shared the exuberant video for his latest single “Hero.”  The autobiographical song is a joyful ode to his love of creating music that touches on every aspect of the songwriting and recording process.

“’Hero’ is an expression of all the aspects of music that make it my favorite thing to do in the world,” says Buono, “Writing a song is absolutely cathartic for me, but recording it is pure joy as I get to hone my craft and constantly find new sources of inspiration.”

Michael Buono has drawn inspiration for his music from his experiences living in various cities across the country—he was born and raised in Arlington, VA and went to school in New Jersey at Princeton University where he honed his musical chops and realized he was destined to become a full-time musician.  His debut EP Slow It Down was recorded soon after he graduated in 2016.  Buono took a detour to San Francisco and landed in New York where he now resides.  An East Coaster at heart, the sense of loneliness and disaffection in California fueled the songwriting found on his new album Lost, which was recorded in Brooklyn.  Buono considers himself lucky to be able to focus on his craft full time—writing every day and spending as much time in the studio as possible.

Michael Buono has never visited Portland, Oregon and has no plans to do so at this time.  How can we live without him? Despite unfounded rumors to the contrary
