Chapter 23 of Letters to The Last Empire: Thoughts over cold coffee – your last intelligent friends, by Davin Michael Stedman

This is what a response from an intelligent conservative friend looks like,

“Hahaha yeah I get the irony with The Left becoming so Mcarthy-like, but that doesnt mean that folks on The Right need to become Russia-apologists.”

I will let him remain anonymous. We are really in a War against stupidity.

We learned to practice neither Logic, nor how not fall prey to credit card companies and balance our checkbook in High School.

It’s not too late for us as individuals, but it maybe too late for our Country.

As long as The Left keeps dandily falling in this Victorian trap of who is the most self righteous and subdividely persecuted, and The Right keeps making excuses for Totalitarianism,

Then Whataboutism will rule us all.

They should have taught us how to argue better in school. They could have taught us to mock these fallicies, like saying “Whatabout _______” was the mark of some kind of village idiot.

Our culture is devolving into a village OF idiots. And we were never that educated to begin with. Which is inherently how we got here. We are championing idiocy.

We have removed the stigma and we are offering Gold medals and participation trophies.

Just because we can read, doesn’t mean we know how to think critically about what we are actually reading. We are like baboons that can read signs to the slaughterhouse.

☆ Here is a photo of a smart conservative named George F Will that retired from The Republican party because he knew Trump was an evil moron and William F Buckley was dead and he found himself sarrounded by a tea party of neo fascist Zombies. Sometimes, it’s better to be alone. Like when the mob is burning a Witch ☆
