Stomp The Yard – The Daniel Santos Edition, by Davin Michael Stedman

My Great Uncle Daniel Santos. He got drunk and started Revolutions. He once yelled at Che and Raoul Castro in close quarters, exclaiming and finger pointing,

“You muthaf☆ckaz said you were Revolutionaries, y’all didn’t say you were Communists. F☆ck Y’all. I’m out.”

Then he lived to sing about it, because he was their favorite singer. But this Bariqua never saw his beloved Havana again.

When Fidel took over the radio station, the first record he played to announce the Fall of Havana was this jam by Daniel Santos.

Daniel Santos was also an unrepentant power slut. Santos ran through fast women like the ribbon at the finish line, leaving behind a trail of tears and personal effects tossed from windows and balconies throughout the Spanish Caribbean, Columbia, and The Spanish Main.

As a showman in his later years he dispelled the notion you shouldn’t get drunk on stage. Daniel Santos turned the stage into an open bar where he steadily powered through a 5th of Rum from start to finish, pouring his thunder heart over golden hits. Results were predictable.

G.O.A.T. sh☆t.

Who ever said that music can’t really change the World, never partied with Daniel Santos.

Davin’s new song has been released and is fast becoming a dancehall hit. Listen here on Reggaeville: DAVIN MICHAEL STEDMAN & ANTHONY RED ROSE – FREE YOUR MIND FEAT. SLY & ROBBIE WITH LENKY MARSDEN
