Skinny Lister – Well Loved UK Folk Band to Play Portland’s Mississippi Studios on 4/3 and Seattle’s Tractor Tavern on 4/4

If you don’t know about them, Skinny Lister is a well loved folk-fusion band from the UK that was dubbed “the hardest working band” in that rainy country and are said to have a sound reminiscent of the Pogues. Below is the video for “If The Gaff Don’t Let Us Down,” which the band describes as “a swimming the English Channel to get to a gig kind of adventure tale…” Also below is the video for “Plough and Orion.” The couple who appear in the “Plough and Orion” video actually got engaged in real life at a Skinny Lister show the year prior to this video being filmed.
