The Jesus And Mary Chain endure as innovators of a huge proportion of what I listen to and much of modern shoegaze. Mazzy Star, of course, are just utterly lovely and have ploughed their own furrow of Paisley underground. To put Hope Sandoval alongside the Reid brothers for this fleeting moment was just a perfect intersection. Even though I remain a fan of both and have seen Hope since, this remains unparalleled.
