NFL Week 10 – Divisional crunch time, by Ron Swanson

Nation Taking No Joy In Cowboys' Pathetic CollapseOK, interesting week upcoming. Lots of NFL divisional games. But first, the college action you’ve been cravin’ like Gator steaks at a Seminole tailgate party:

[Editor’s note: Ron went an incredible 13-3 last week.]

[Updated 11/15/10 – Ron went 6-10 this week, NFL Week 10.]

Let’s try:

No – Oregon 19 1/2 California

Cal has been a much better team at home, but they haven’t been playing against the Ducks. Oregon rolls on.

No – ILLINOIS 20 1/2 Minnesota

The Gophers have nothing left to play for, while the Illini look to become bowl eligible. It shouldn’t be close.

No – Oklahoma State 5 1/2 TEXAS

OSU favored in Austin? I just don’t see it, despite the down year for the Longhorns.

On to the NFL:

Yes – ATLANTA 1 Baltimore

The Falcons are tough at home – Matt Ryan is 17-1 as a starter there. Have to like their chances tonight.

Yes – INDIANAPOLIS 7 Cincinnati

The Bengals should be able to run the ball and keep this one within a touchdown.

Yes – JACKSONVILLE 1 1/2 Houston

The Jags are rested and healthier than the Texans. They should manage at home.

No – Tennessee 1 MIAMI

The Dolphins turn to Chad Pennington. This can’t be a good sign. The Titans should win on the road.

No – Minnesota 1 CHICAGO

The spotlight will be on the quarterbacks, but Adrian Peterson is the guy who gives the Bears fits. Vikings on the road.

No – BUFFALO 3 Detroit

The Bills have to win one sometime and the Lions are switching QBs again due to Stafford’s injury. Buffalo gets their W.

No – NY Jets 3 CLEVELAND

The Browns are playing well and the Jets are unlikely to put up a ton of points. One more week going with Cleveland.

Yes – TAMPA BAY 6 1/2 Carolina

Two teams going in opposite directions. The Buccs big.

No – Kansas City 1 DENVER

Tough place to play, but the Broncos haven’t show any signs of improvement lately. Chiefs to win.

Yes – SAN FRANCISCO 6 St. Louis

Should be a game dominated by RBs. Six points might be too much for the 49ers to cover at this point.

No – ARIZONA 3 Seattle

How will the Cardinals respond to last week’s loss? Luckily for them, they play the reeling Seahawks and should be fine.

No – NY GIANTS 14 Dallas

The Cowboys have a new coach, but it’s impossible to expect much from them this year at this point. The Giants are on a roll.

No – PITTSBURGH 5 New England

The Patriots did not look good last week. Take the Steelers at home.

Yes – Philadelphia 3 WASHINGTON

The Redskins come off their bye with more questions than answers. Philly on the road.
