Irresistible Christmas Magic for Children of All Ages: His Sweet Baby Boy – Ellie Redmond

My favorite part comes on the choruses when the Holy Family, shepherds, wise men AND the nativity animals sing together in perfect synchrony. Please listen and make this your favored tune of Christmas.

Christmas has always been an extra special time for Dublin, Ireland-based artist Ellie Redmond. When she was just six years old, Ellie performed on Ireland’s Irish speaking TV station TG4 as part of a Christmas special programme. She was chosen with a select group of singers to sing Christmas carols while the presenter, “The Druid Chef” prepared the Christmas dinner. This programme has been broadcasted every year for the last seventeen years and has become a must watch at Christmas time on Irish TV.
Ellie has performed with a church folk group for the past seven years and at Christmas concerts and especially on Christmas morning, she has brought inspiration and joy to thousands with her solo singing and angelic voice.
This year will prove to be no exception as following on from her very successful debut single “A Ladies’ Choice” Ellie is releasing her second song, which is a song for Christmas called “His Sweet Baby Boy.” This song is very close to Ellie’s heart as it combines the magic of the story of the nativity with life as it is today. “His Sweet Baby Boy” also has an edge to it and it challenges us to reflect on how we live and the world that we live in.
Ellie commented, “My favourite line in the song is Will he lie in a crib with a sheep by his head, or sleep in a doorway on a pressed paper bed.”
“His Sweet Baby Boy” sung by Ellie has been chosen by the creator of the world’s longest running children’s art show (Tina Mation on RTE TV) as the theme song for their Christmas Nativity children creative art project, which will be promoted to over 300,000 classrooms in the UK and Ireland and to 180,000 churches in the US.
The video for the song “His Sweet Baby Boy” (available on YouTube) is a must see for children everywhere.
