Beatles Cover: Kadeema – I’ve Just Seen a Face

Hi East Portland,

We are excited to share our cover of The Beatles’ “I’ve Just Seen a Face,” with you, a tune that means a lot to us personally. As much as we love the original, we wanted to try it with a different feel.

We started from a stripped-down acoustic version and then decided to build up from there. We really wanted to capture a dramatic, slower-paced marching band kind of feel in our interpretation, creating a more exaggerated dynamic.

Hear “I’ve Just Seen a Face” through your streaming service of choice.

The first introduction to the song came from our frontman, Jimmy Chauveau’s father. The lyrics caught me immediately and stopped me in my tracks.

I’ve Just Seen a Face” is a song I have loved from the first listen. I began to cover it stripped and slowed down, then pelted the tune reluctantly at my loved ones over and over.

We will be sharing our next original single with you soon, with our eyes set on the upcoming release of our debut EP, Napoleon Tornapart.

Thank you for listening,

Kadeema
