One of the political weapons Bernie Sanders wields that few others possess and none can simply obtain, is that his fans are going to come to THE SHOW.
His youth vote is 4 years older, but few have fallen off his wagon that filled a Seattle Stadiums even Vermont’s mighty Phish could not fill. And the youth, newly minted at 18…if they show, may in fact go for Loan forgiveness and the promises of a man even his dankest enemies will not call a liar.
They fear, not unlike his foe on the dark side of the Force, that he is not lying. That he might do, or at least try to do the damn thing.
The odds are against him, but when they admit Bernie is surging, that’s not surging. That’s just what happens when the phantom of “likes” and other tools of paranioa and propaganda can no longer be bought, but are rather earned.
Yes a certain Dark Lord in the East will pick his horse to further Chaos, but there is a difference between bots screaming for Sanders and a Donald Trump who picks up the phone…and calls Putin for instructions.
I am not saying I’m voting for Sanders. I’m not saying he’s going to be the Nominee, but what other candidate on the fragmented Left has a fanbase that is ready to buy the second album and camp out for this thing?
Nobody can say he is the product of Media hype. But there is hype.
