a. harlana – “Chicago”

Take note, kids (and MacArthur Fellowship committee members), this is what a GENIUS looks like…

Juno Roome, the ace honcho of a. harlana, recently got some of his many, many talented friends together and filmed several live video with loop oriented versions of his songs. This is similar to the way that Juno performs for solo gigs. The shots are beautiful. It looks and sounds fantastic.

Juno had this to say about the session. “about a month ago, oliver, andrea and i locked ourselves in a room for about six hours with four cameras and recorded five songs, of which include the whole of “ada belle EP,” (textile workers, faces, the thunderings are nearly through), chicago (sufjan stevens cover), and a new song (lost tape), so new that it probably won’t come out for about another year or two. here is the first of the five — chicago.”

Bio:
Juno Roome could be America’s poster child for “Least Suspicious Egomaniac,” which is hilarious considering he printed 500 f*cked up business cards. He really wanted a much larger font. (Editor’s note: I’m very happy with the cards.) So that between the business cards and the new guitar, he could pull off subtly overcompensating with a hip aesthetic. Juno also powerlifts and subsists off chicken and vegetables, which makes him the nerdiest bro I know. And is honestly sad because he’ll never be truly accepted by nerds, or validated by bros. He is an art bro, a breed all their own.
