Some Heroes Die of Old Age, but Good Ideas Should Not, by Davin Michael Stedman

I want to better understand where free speech begins, ends, lives, and ultimately dies.

There are billions of people on this website, and some people go to jail and get shot on bridges for what you and I have said on here without giving this a second thought.

Yet if our political climate shifts, or you travel to another land, Free Speech is just a myth.

The line between hate speech and free speech, protest as speech and protest as shutting down free speech is fuzzy and should be hotly debated with the realization that the weapon you take from your opponent is the weapon you might need.

Conversely, be careful what weapon you yield and advocate because it will be used against you. Eventually.

It’s not karma. It is too logical to be that spiritual. It is just what should be common sense.

What is not common sense is Free Speech. It is a cornerstone of Western Culture that is under attack by Western Culture. Our worst caveman sensibilities and the inevitability of corporations becoming governments.

Free Speech is a promise I am not quite sure if we can keep. Free Speech may soon rest in peace as we reach the next chapter of this dystopian tale.

Or we can invest in education and fight to understand this gift of the enlightenment.

Some ideas like Slavery and Beyonce’s sweatshops should be left behind, but let’s not lose the good ideas.

Bad versions of Capitalism, Socialism, any political system is a threat to Free Speech, for Free Speech is what can keep any system in check. Unless it dies.

Nazis want to use it, until they get it alone so they can kill it.

☆ this is just a photo of a Man that Trump had never heard of and assumed was still alive. He used his Free Speech well, as soon as he got Free. He was one of the first Feminists. He was a Rock Star of Free Speech. We need more men and women like him.

He got his ass beat for Free Speech. But because of people like him, we won. But a fool believes the fight is over. The Constitution was signed long before it was guaranteed.
