Johnny Dread aka Juan Carlos Guardiola, basketball player turned reggae ambassador, has delighted his fans for over 30 years and now he has returned to his beloved island of Cuba to realize a vision. “Mi Isla Cuba” was a song on his freshman album Scarecrow (1994), a single which he re-recorded in Cuba in August of 2018, working in studios located in ” La Vieja Havana” and in “el campo” just outside of Havana. The track now features Ras King Leo Moya and was produced by Leo Pro. Johnny said, “the track gives you a sense of what use to be vs what is now present day Cuba”.
