“Free Your Mind” Finds New (Mystery) Distributor, by Davin Michael Stedman

I had ‘Free Your Mind’ removed from Spotify and all the digital stores, because a label you know is going re-release and distribute the song worldwide.

‘Free Your Mind’ will always be a Sick Donkey Records release much like this unsaid label was connected with Island Records. I say too much.

But when I sign this paper work I’ll tell you errrrythang.

BJ DjSticky aka Bluejay Hankins and I have a lot of fun work to promoting ‘Free Your Mind’ as well as putting together the rest of the West Indian Rock album.

This album is going to be the soundtrack to an incredible series of West Indian adventures Bluejay made possible, and East Portland Blog has been documenting with love and forward minded historical detail.

The book about how ‘I made it’ in The West Indies and became known around the world will be a fun and hopefully insightful read. But I have a lot of work to do to fulfill the promise of ‘Free Your Mind’.

I ain’t nobody yet. But with your help, we’ll see how far this gets. Releasing my first song with legendary label is an incredible next step.

The follow up ‘Bush Doctor’ will be even more appropriate for this label, as the gentleman who played on that record and natural mystic they pulled out of that track, are what made the label (we shall not yet mention)…immortal.

Back to work.

☆ I can’t lie, staring at Casey’s work everyday with my guitar in hand is part of the mojo that gave me the testicular fortitude and believe in myself to make this bold move. Buy a Casey Brookbush original. And get your Mojo on.
