Layla Khepri was born Marissa Arguijo, native of Fort Washington, MD. She began her M.V.P. days as a star athlete and fitness buff. Excelling in basketball and soccer, she walked away from a soccer scholarship and a hard to achieve slot in the US Navy search and rescue to pursue success in music. With the work ethic of a champion, and no regrets she is now on the road to building a cult like following and a national name for herself.
