I can not, at this point, claim to know what pop culture ever is or was.
I do tend to scroll the Chive each day at work, but I have to admit that their hatred for the one called Bieber passes me by. I am a 47 year old male and I have never in my life heard a song by Justin Bieber. So it goes. I cannot hate what I have never heard. I love the fact that they (thechive – it’s a website) are actively promoting one of their own on the FOX show “The X Factor” (Josh Someone). I do not love it so much I will watch anything with Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul involved.
The one album I have bought and paid attention to this year is “Circuital” by My Morning Jacket. This is a band I flat out love (thanks, T) and about all I try to keep up with these days. I’m guessing technically this was a 2010 release, so I’m even that much further behind.
