Yes, I know “Kim the Waitress” was a Green Pajamas song, famously covered by Material Issue, but the version I always liked best was Sister Psychic’s off of “Surrender You Freak.” I couldn’t find that version complete, on the net, but there is a soundclip at Allmusic.com and probably a few other places. I also found this unusual indie film trailer starring Alisa Allapach. She’s an insanely hot young actress who appeared as a bridesmaid in “The Hangover,” and she’s got two great indie clips on the web. The “Kim the Waitress” trailer and the “Mc Cheesy” faux commercial. Both below, both excellent. Someone named Alisa Allapach is listed as a figure skating coach in this Anna Kennedy figure skating video, but the coaches don’t appear in that video. Alisa may have been a figure skater as in the “Kim the Waitress” trailer they show her walking from behind for a brief second and she does have the sinuous calves, high torque glutes and gliding gait of a princess who grew up on figure skates.
