Quickie Seeking Fans Help to Win Samsung AT&T Summer Krush Contest and Appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Seattle pop-punk band Quickie has less than one month to get Jimmy Kimmel’s attention.

Kimmel is co-sponsor of the Samsung AT&T Summer Krush contest, which is currently underway. The telecommunications giants are searching for a killer opening act for their Seattle “Summer Krush” concert (date to be determined). The winning band will not only open for a top-selling artist, but they will also appear on Jimmy Kimmel’s late night talk show. Emerald City rockers Quickie aim to be that band.

“It’s always been a goal to get on Jimmy Kimmel,” says Lou Trez, leader of the Seattle pop-punk trio. “We figure our Bikini Barista video is right up Mr. Kimmel’s alley. After all, this is the guy who created the Man Show.”

The video currently has almost 130,000 YouTube views; none of which counts towards the Samsung AT&T Summer Krush contest. “As usual, we are an underdog in this competition. We need to rally our fans, and make new fans. The band gets points every time someone shows interest in Quickie’s video on the Summer Krush contest page. So each time Bikini Barista is viewed, gains a promotional “like”, or gets re-tweeted, we will gain 1 point in the competition.”

At present Quickie are number 7. “It’s a daily battle to stay in the game,” stresses Trez. “But if we win it, not only do we get our dream of appearing on Kimmel, but we get to perform in front of thousands of people in our home town of Seattle! How sweet is that?”

The contest runs until September 6th. To vote for Quickie by watching, sharing or “liking” the video, visit the Samsung AT&T Summer Krush contest page here:
