Sting – Love is the Seventh Wave

I have no memory of Sting’s video for this song at the time of it’s 1985 release. This was the first single off Sting’s first solo album, The Dream of the Blue Turtles, and whatever the video happened to have been in those days, there’s no way the visuals could have been nearly as good as these. Sting’s sax player on this album was Branford Marsalis. It would seem that Dave Matthews copped Marsalis’ elegant sax runs on this disc and made a career out of it. (Don’t send me hate mail, no serious disrespect intended for Dave Matthews. I’m old, and old people love Dave Matthews and Matlock. I love both DM and Andy Griffith. I’m going to go listen to Satellite right now, and eat a Matlocklike Freudian hot dog.):
