It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia – Portland actress hits it big in trashy bar comedy, by Steve Stav

.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia? How scandalously profane! My favorite episode has to be the one about “freedom” at Paddy’s, where Danny DeVito’s character is allowing a Chinese poker game in the basement that soon devolves into Russian roulette. I get a kick out of how most of the actors are married to each other – and the theme song.

Kaitlin Olson, originally from Troutdale and a graduate of the University of Oregon, is the funniest part of the funniest show on TV.

My daughter Lorelei is a big fan of this show. She recently moved from Philly to Hollywood. Shortly after arrival, she went to see “Social Network” at a local movie theater and ran into the series’ creator and lead actor, Charlie Day. When she told him that she just moved from Philly, he replied, “It only gets better from here.”
