Arthur C. Clarke predicts the future in 1964, by Karla Chase

This clip is interesting. I’m waiting for the day I get my ape servant, fully trained of course, and the device to put material in my mind (memories, knowledge) that turns me into an expert on a subject.

He was right on about computers and the ability to communicate with others anywhere. Too bad telecommuniting hasn’t become more popular. Boss/worker dynamics haven’t changed much since then. Bosses still want employees at the office to make sure they are getting their work done.

I don’t see any new animals being trained to do our work for us, anytime soon. Dogs are hard enough to train and what work do they do for us?
