Left Lane Cruiser shares new heavy blues single “Turkey Vulture”

“Turkey Vulture” is the new single by Indiana’s favorite blues duo Left Lane Cruiser (Freddy J IV on guitar/vocals and Brenn “Sausage Paw” Beck on drums/washboard/trash kit). Taken from their upcoming studio album Bayport BBQ Blues, this track features Freddy’s commanding, gritty vocal rasp and positively nasty hoodoo slide guitar work that sounds as if it might’ve been conjured straight from Marie Laveau’s gris-gris bag. Toss in Sausage Paw’s rhythmic stomp to the mix and this song makes for a heady firestarter for any house party, backyard barbecue or juke joint get-down.

Freddy shares a little of the inspiration behind the subject matter of this track, “We were driving down a dirt road and saw a bird the size of a small person ripping the guts out of something dead on the ground. When we drove past it the bird didn’t fly away, it just looked at us flipping intestines like spaghetti noodles across its face. Like a mob of henchmen running the county roads of Northern Indiana, turkey vultures are the de-constructors of death… the dark reapers of carcass.”

Left Lane Cruiser‘s new single “Turkey Vulture” will be available on digital and streaming platforms tomorrow, March 15th via Alive Naturalsound Records. This is the lead single from their forthcoming LP, Bayport BBQ Blues, out later this spring.
