Seattle’s Magenta Wave walks “Tightrope”

Magenta Wave is an Evergreen state four-piece rock ‘n’ roll faction that became local legends in the seriously underrated town of Bellingham, WA, before falling down (literally) to the scary and expensive, lake-locked, technoburg of Seattle. Notorious for their emotionally charged vocals fortified by evocative and tumultuous guitars, MagWave’s sound blends alternative, indie, psychedelic and every twitchy and cool rock genre out there into one truly unique product. Playing live and playing hard in the Pacific Northwest for almost two years, this band of brothers is ready to express their sound on the global stage.

The band’s drummer, Kellen Larsen, was born and raised in Vancouver and spent a lot of time in Portland. There may be some people alive in the Portland metroplex now who remember this awesome musician.

Magenta Wave recorded “Tightrope” and the other 3 singles they’ll be releasing soon at The Hallowed Halls on 4420 SE 64th Street here in Portland, which is near Stumptown’s best vegan restaurant, Off the Griddle (check out the jackfruit faux brisket hash).

Their first single, “Tightrope,” is a stone cold jam and it’s out now. Dig it here and send the lads some encouraging feedback!
