She’s Speaking-Live concert roadshow elevates women’s voices, artistry

Celebrated Oregon songwriters combine talents for Women’s History Month concerts

(Portland, Ore.) – Eight performing artists join forces with a great band and hit the road in March and April to bring to seven Pacific Northwest cities their dynamic and joyful concert, She’s Speaking-LIVE: A Celebration of Women Songwriters.

“Imagine eight powerhouse women singer-songwriters from a variety of backgrounds and musical genres – blues, jazz, gospel, rock, R&B, folk – all on one stage,” said Kristen Grainger, co-founder of the She’s Speaking project. “The show is dynamic and bursting with positive energy; our audiences have been known to laugh out loud, shed tears of joy, dance in the aisles and yell for more.”

The lineup includes Arietta Ward, Bre Gregg, LaRhonda Steele, Beth Wood, Liz Chibucos, Naomi LaViolette,  Kristen Grainger, and Lisa Mann (see EPK link, below, for artists’ photos and bios). Backed by percussionist Ward Griffiths, electric guitarist Dan Gildea and guitarist Dan Wetzel, the eleven participating musicians pause their own touring and recording schedules to come together for these concerts during Women’s History Month.
