“It was one of the most intense video shoots,” she says, “and it’s also a very raw and personal song. “Invisible Wars” is about struggling with mental health and how hard it is to fully convey that experience since it can’t be seen physically most of the time. It was written from a place of frustration and determination to pull through no matter how hard things get. I remember being in tears several times while recording the vocals it was a really cathartic one to record, to make my invisible wars visible.
