Georgia Reed returns from hiatus with ‘Haunted’

Australian-born Georgia Reed is back with her new single ‘HAUNTED.’ Set to be released on 8 November, ‘Haunted’ marks Reed’s first release since relocating permanently to the UK in 2019, and is the first of four singles set for release over the next six months in preparation for her long awaited debut EP release in March.

‘Haunted’ tackles a dynamic time in Reed’s life and the track’s driving bass line pairs perfectly with her signature hazy vocals. Phased-out synths make their presence known and combine in the crescending release of the chorus.

“I wrote Haunted many years ago, at a time when my whole life had changed suddenly. I would play it acoustically at shows, but It wasn’t until we started recording it that I realised it was probably my favourite song I’ve ever written.” — Georgia Reed

Raised in Western Australia, Georgia Reed has a voice of velvet and a magnetism on stage that has captivated audiences for years. During a 5-year hiatus, Reed found home in London and has carved her niche as a songwriter with a penchant for dark, moody sounds and cryptic storytelling. Speaking of her decision to relocate, Reed said, “I’d always been influenced by UK bands and artists. It played a really big part for me.”  Life has since fallen not apart, but together for Reed and her eagerly awaited new music proves as gripping and contagious as the pandemic it was created in.
