The Swedish pop duo Degrees, hailing from Sweden’s darkest and coldest woods, are back after more than 10 years with a new album

Mikael Jakobsson (Svart Elefant, Animal Kix) and Rickard Folke (Boygirlme, L’obscurité, Blah!)  of Degrees, recorded the songs of their fifth release, “Pt. V,” in 2012, but the work was never finished until they decided in 2023 to finally release their last album with the help of the German indie label Aenaos Records.

With their love for captivating melodies and soft synths, Degrees continue where they left off; epic, poetic melancholy with reveling pop rhythms, enriched with a little drive from the early 80s synthpop and modern shoegaze.

Like in their previous albums, the duo has developed its very own musical cosmos with a certain nostalgic feeling, but this time they’ve spiced things up with very modern touches.

All songs on “Pt. V” were written, recorded, mixed, and performed by Degrees in 2012. The album was mastered by the geniuses at TS-Musix Studios, Leipzig (Germany) and is available at all major download stores, streaming services, and the band’s Bandcamp page.
