All Hype is an alternative pop-punk band based in Portland, OR. Consisting of members Michael “Stryker” Mollohan (vocals), Alika Dela Pena (guitar & vocals), Dominic Jones (drums), and Paul “Paulito” Bailey (bass). The four had all coincidentally moved to Honolulu, HI when they were children (either for their parent’s work, military, familial ties). Mike, Alika, and Dom all continued to grow up in a city called Mililani, finding their own ways into the island’s music scene and starting their own bands. Alika and Dom met in highschool and started their punk band Even Odders at the same time that Mike was starting his punk band Strangers With Kandy and Paul was in a few hardcore bands.
After having played shows together in separate bands and realizing that what they wanted to achieve musically meant needing to venture off the island and to the mainland, they created the supergroup of Even Odders and Strangers With Kandy to build All Hype and moved to Portland in 2018.
Since the formation of All Hype, the band has released two EPs and a slew of singles but are diving head first into the next chapter of their journey as a band with their debut album, 3D, which was recorded and mastered with Justin Abel and will be released on September 8.
