Sultan + Shepard “Forever Now”

Last week my friends Sultan + Shepard released their new album ‘Forever Now’, featuring a song we wrote together called ‘Elenore’. The lyrics were inspired by a poem called ‘Les Separes’ written by French poet Marceline Desbordes-Valmore and translated by the late Louis Simpson. It was written from the perspective of someone wrestling with the pain of being separated from their loved one and forced to exist at a distance. It’s something I’ve experienced personally and think that many can relate to the complicated agony of loving from afar. I hope you get a chance to check out their record and enjoy what we’ve created.
