DABOYDAME DROPS “HOOD GO CRAZY” FEATURING JEEZY, YO GOTTI & PROJECT POPPA VIA DEF JAM RECORDING

September 23, 2022 –  DaBoyDame, the powerhouse producer, orchestrator, and songwriter who is now signed as an exclusive Def Jam Recordings artist, releases his brand new single + video, “Hood Go Crazy” featuring Jeezy, Yo Gotti & Project Poppa, available at all platforms today.

The track follows up DaBoyDame’s Def Jam label debut “Feelings” featuring EST Gee and Rick Ross, premiered via BET JAMS in April.  The official music video for “Feelings” was shot in two cities, starting in Atlanta with Dame, EST Gee, and Rick Ross, and then moving to Dame’s hometown of Oakland, California.

“Feelings” and “Hood Go Crazy” comprise the first advance music from SALUTE TO THE REAL, PRAY FOR THE FAKE, DaBoyDame’s eagerly awaited second album, release details to be revealed in the weeks and months ahead.  The album has been likened to a DJ Khaled release, in that Dame will host numerous top-tier artists along with up-and-coming new talent.

DaBoyDame earned his reputation as a renaissance figure in West Coast hip-hop culture after serving as head of A&R for Yo Gotti’s ‘CMG The Label,’ and working with the biggest names in the game – from Yo Gotti, Blac Youngsta and Mozzy, to Ty Dolla $ign, Dej Loaf and Kamaiyah.

ABOUT DABOYDAME:

A Bay area native from the streets of Oakland, DaBoyDame is best known for pulling together Yo Gotti, Jeezy and YG for their single “Act Right” in 2013, on Gotti’s dream team label CMG Records. In 2015, Dame released “Do Ya” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Adrian Marcel and Eric Bellinger.  Both records boast over 1 million streams.  In 2017, Dame dropped Can’t Fake The Real, his debut album featuring Blac Youngsta and Mozzy.  2018 brought “Dreams” featuring G-Eazy, Yo Gotti and Dej Loaf, the viral hit single currently surpassing over 2.7 million streams.

DaBoyDame has spent nearly a decade as a vessel for artists as head of CMG A&R. He served as executive producer of CM10: Free Game, Yo Gotti’s most recent and highest charting album (February 2022); and Dame signed West Coast star Mozzy to CMG. In his younger days, Dame worked as a local DJ, created his first mixtapes from Livewire and Napster, and interned for five formative years at radio 106 KMEL (under the tutelage of Bay Area legends Chuy Gomez, Mind Motion and Big Von).  There he first met Yo Gotti and made enduring artist connections.  Dame graduated from Clark Atlanta University, where he expanded his musical knowledge and established industry relationships with fellow CAU students who would become industry leaders in their own right. Dame eventually became Yo Gotti’s personal A&R man, discovering, introducing or playing a key role in developing high profile artists including Dej Loaf and Kamaiyah. Starting his new chapter at Def Jam, DaBoyDame is clearly a musical force to be reckoned with.
