Eclectic Alt Pop Single– Year’s Best So Far– “Dance Class” by Patchwork Guilt

The idea for “Dance Class” came when Patchwork Guilt songwriter/producer Phoenix Mundy sought counseling for social anxiety. She says that “Dance Class was written after one of the sessions when I was writing about what [dance class] actually felt like as a mental state” and goes on to say that “I thought of how liberating it would be to be able to go to a dance class by myself and just move freely, and this became a sort of goal of mine and also where I got the basis for the song’s lyrics”.  Dance class is the first release from Patchwork Guilt’s upcoming album to be released later this year.
