Altın Gün – Badi Sabah Olmadan: Band at PDX Revolution Hall 4/14, Seattle’s Crocodile 4/13

Altın Gün is an Amsterdam-based Turkish psych band that was signed to ATO Records after King Gizzard championed them. Success has continued to follow them, including wide-reaching praise for their third album Yol, and sold-out shows around the world. Now, they are embarking on their own headline US run, which includes sold-out dates and a co-headline with labelmate Nilüfer Yanya at The Roxy in Los Angeles on 4/21. They took a recent turn towards their synthier inclinations on this new record, and it works SO well.

They’ll be at Revolution Hall in Portland on Thursday, April 14 and in Seattle at the Crocodile on lucky Wednesday, April 13.

Whoever you are, you absolutely need to see Altin Gün live — I think you’d really enjoy them, they put on such a fun show.

Some other cool things – they’re Grammy-nominated for their exhilarating sophomore record Gece, and their 2021 record Yol received praise from the likes of  NPR, Pitchfork, Billboard, and The New York Times. They also recently spoke to Beastie Boys’ Mike D for Apple Radio.
