Banjo virtuoso Jake Blount is coming to Portland on April 14 to play Mississippi Studios with AJ Lee & Blue Summit. Jake’s Spider Tales album was a huge breakout album of 2020, making “best of” lists from The New Yorker to NPR. Jake’s Black, Queer perspective on the roots of American music in 2020 was a revelation and he’s pushing harder into new territory now and just dropped a new single that got rave reviews from NPR.
