Portland’s MAITA say: I just Want to Be Wild For You

Portland act MAITA will release their new album I Just Want To Be Wild For You Friday February 18 on Kill Rock Stars, available across all platforms here. The record has received acclaim spanning NPRUnder The RadarKEXPFLOOD, BUST, Portland Mercury and more! Pairing vulnerable lyricism with layers of distorted guitars and drums, the final preview track “Where Do You Go?” is released today alongside a sizzling video (below). A beat-driven, pop-rock anthem that features 90’s inspired guitars, a lilting verse that leads to a catchy, cathartic chorus, the song examines the desperate desire to understand everything there is to know about your romantic partner.

I Just Want To Be Wild For You finds songwriter Maria Maita-Keppeler digging into that crippling oxymoron of modern communication — constant bombardment paired with utter disconnection.

Along with guitarist/producer Matthew Zeltzer, bassist Nevada Sowle, and multi-instrumentalist Cooper Trail, Maita-Keppeler grasps passionately for a world that too often seems at a gauzy distance, framing complex ideas with visceral songs that sink immediately into the heart. MAITA have announced an extensive national tour, making stops in Los Angeles, Seattle, Phoenix, Denver and more. Be sure to catch the band’s captivating live show in a city near you!
