Melbourne’s LUNE are carving their own path into the world of music with their exciting and refreshing take on Metalcore. They have ignited the spark on new single ‘Factory Fires/Funeral Pyre.

Vocalist Nathaniel Smith, said of the new single that “In light of our current global context, we have had time to reflect on the uncertainty of times ahead. Written from the perspective of a parent, Factory Fires / Funeral Pyres explores the difficulty in allaying a child’s fears of the precarious future they face. The end of our own making, the looming despair sets in as society’s consumerist frivolity catches up with us.’

“Imperfections” is a departure from Kevin Tiah’s recent releases by incorporating Pop and R&B music elements along with Metalcore. The track implores the listener to take everyone’s lived experience and flaws into account and understand everyone is living their own battles.

Tiah said that “‘Imperfections’ portrays our reluctance to accept imperfections in both others and ourselves in Modern Day society. The music video exaggerates this theme through the depiction of an alien being who feels alienated from society. She goes through multiple phases including applying makeup as an attempt to look more like everyone else. As she accepts herself for who she is, she eventually stumbles across a guy who sees her beauty for who she is.

In the final scene, the guy surprises her during their meetup with a different appearance on himself. The video is left open-ended as to whether or not he artificially changed his appearance to look like her or if he had been just like her all along.”

Dynamic rock four-piece from Brisbane, Australia, sunbleached are today bearing gifts of ‘Flowers Grow from Ugly Places.”

Guitarist Bradley laments that “…the song is about the best and worst times of my life. They coexisted. Through the worst parts a lot of beautiful things bloomed – and this song expresses the frustration and the letting go in that time period.”

Back in early 2020, the now members of sunbleached were winding down from previous music projects – and set out to create a fresh and authentic alternative rock sound inspired from decades passed and reimagined.

The sonic influence on their musical fingerprint is broad and exciting, ranging from 90’s and 00’s greats like Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and Silverchair, all the way though to more modern influences like Citizen, Basement, and Nothing. In a pact to create honest music with no compromise, they endeavour to do justice to their influences through dreamy studio recordings and high energy live performances.

Wildheart are out for blood. Their new album ‘Global Crisis’ is on it’s way and will be arriving on Friday November 5th. Today, they herald that the last cut from the record to be exposed to the world, “Out For Blood,” is here.

In a statement made by Adam and Axel from Wildheart, they proclaim that the song is about demanding more transparency and honesty from our Politicians and people in power. “Out For Blood in many ways was a visceral reaction to the glaring issues that the capitalist system has wrought upon us, especially in the midst of COVID-19. When the pandemic kicked off, the whole rhetoric of ‘There is not enough money to feed you, to educate you or keep people alive’ was blown apart, as they pumped billions of dollars into the economy, the world’s richest ran away with insane amounts of money, all while people are told they have to pay back instalments they needed to survive the extended lockdowns.”

“The only way you can truly take down something so monstrous is to rise up and fight back. Whilst the notion of standing shoulder to shoulder and hand in hand is a great metaphor, it isn’t exactly COVID-safe; we’ve always known the odds have been stacked against us. It’s happened before and it will happen again, but we must demand change. The Lyrics of ‘Out For Blood’ say it best – ‘We ripped back the curtain, It’s all there all laid bare. Never once about us, all about yourselves.'”
