Bernie Sanders Timeline and the Beatles, by Davin Michael Stedman

This is still tripping out. The Beatles played Ed Sullivan Feb 9th, 1964. Bernie’s now famous photo of him resisting arrest in Chicago at a civil rights demonstration was August 1963.

This dude has literally been on the same message since before Dylan first got The Beatles stoned, which August 28th 1964.

For any of you voters out there who think Bernie’s message and mission is going to like, change once he is President…good luck with that. I think the Establishment is afraid of this guy because he WILL NOT, and the only thing he has to lose is everything he ever stood for.

In fact Bernie is in so deep his arrest during the Civil Rights movement predates the term Establishment as we know it by 5 years.

The term hit the mainstream after a New Yorker article in 1968, though according to this NPR story I just dug up as I wrote this last paragraph, it references a 1841 Ralph Waldo Emerson speech called, “The Conservative” that dropped when Bernie Sanders was just in middle school.
