Har’Monique – Oh Lawd

Biography:
Har’Monique (Monique Fraser) is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She later relocated to the small town of Binghamton upstate NY at the age of 13. She started out writing novels at the tender age 12 learning how to properly create and explore worlds she never thought imaginable. However, although she enjoyed writing novels she yearned for something more. That’s when she met her boyfriend of 7 years, a music engineer who introduced her to the sound of music.  She began with the classic R&b songs because that is what she grew up on. But as she truly explored the melodies and base that grasped her attention and captured her essence, she realized that pop was her signature sound along with a little reggae twist now and then. She fell in love with the fun yet powerful fast paced rhythm that told a story of its own waiting to be fleshed out and sculpted all while throwing a little Har’Monique stank on it. She vowed to explore and expand as much as she could musically because she would and could never be boxed in.

Her musical influences are Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Mariah Carey,Aaliyah, Brandy, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Michael Jackson, Usher, Cindy Lauper and so many more! Keeping an open mind and staying true to the music along with drawing inspiration from the most incredible icons in music history has helped create the artist you see today.

She is currently working on debuting her first official self-titled album, a small peak into who Har’Monique truly is as an artist. This album will showcase her smooth r&b sound, with the fun crazy punk sound to the cool mellow reggae sounds. It’s a 15 track album with 7 songs left to record and she is finally releasing her first single after 6 years of perfecting her craft. She is here and ready to take the world by storm, so be on the look out for more from Har’Monique coming soon!
