I love this track. You’re going to love Aline Vida’s voice too. She’s amazing. One of a kind. There’s none like her. But if you listen close you’ll hear some echoes of Lady Day, Aretha, maybe a little Nina Simone, and a restless rocker too. Can’t nail that one down.
Wes Speight has deep roots in the Seattle music scene. And he’s awesome. When he plays a keyboard, it stays played. He and Aline have been writing songs together for about a year.
“We are a duo,” says Aline. “Wes and I wrote all of the music together and he played all of the instruments. I want people to think of us as duo….because we are.”
Nothing is gonna stop them.
They will be down to perform in Portland, perhaps soon. “I look forward to us playing in Portland” says Aline, “I’ve heard everyone is really nice there.”
