The first single taken from the album Intergalactic Sailor by James McArthur and The Head Gardeners out on Moorland Records. We know little about this outfit except to say that we fell in love on first listen.

Describes every job i’ve ever done and a lot more too.
4 Krikor – Gun Clash Riddim – Céfran Riddims (52)
Enjoying this a lot. Takes us back to the days of 90’s Jamaican dancehall digital rhythm small label releases. Many many moons ago i remember picking up an early 7″ by the Bug that i played to death at the time as nothing else sounded like it… this has the same simplicity.
5 Tom of England – Sniffin At The Griffin (80)
Great new 12″ just out by Tom of England, 4 fabbo tracks. I think this is our favourite.
6 Cheval Sombre – Been a Lover (193)
New out on Market Square records so it’s bound to be good. The label has moved away a bit from shambolic/ sharp art punk rock and is concentrating on new song writers and like all of their past releases they have, yet again, identified the best of the best. We hadn’t heard of Cheval Sombre before but after hearing this I’ll be going through Cheval’s entire catalogue. What does it sound like? Nothing much else really but if the Beta Band, Aliens etc sounded good to you on first listen, so will this.
7 Fleet Dreams – EKJ (147)
Don’t really know what to call this ? I know i’ll keep playing it. Dubby ESG with R’n’B brushes ?
8 Lewsberg – Non Fiction Writer (155)
They’ve called their song, “non fiction writer” and hey presto that’s how you get on bottom of the pops. Think gentle version on Fontaines DC.
9 Bodega – Shiny New Model (386)
New one from one of our favourite US bands from the past few years. Great angular (call it post punk if you must) indie rock with sharp and knowing lyrics. We love this band.
10 Mr Ben & The Bens – Transmissions (528)
For all the Bens out there, this is for you. We’re sending love to one particular Ben, you know who you are.
