R.I.P. Ric Ocasek – The Dangerous Type, by Davin Michael Stedman

Ric Ocasek won. He had the hottest wifey in Rock and they were in love forever and ever. He got the girl, he got the hits in the 1980s hiding the fact he was as old as Mick Jagger.

I don’t cry for guys like Ric. If I knew him maybe. 75 years in Rock is a LIFE.

He saw the rise and fall and cashed in during the commercial peak. Also this was and is his wife who was in love with that wonderful fraggle rock looking son of a gun. He won.

Cry for Flint, Michigan.

☆ If you think I’m body shaming. I’m celebrating how music allowed a darn good singer songwriter to completely game the system. Dr. Drew perpetually and vapidly warned of the danger of dating above your number, unless you are a musician. You could have called it the Ric Ocasek rule, before streaming. Rock & Roll was one of hell of a bubble boy.
