The empowering single was co-written by Shenseea and produced by an all star cast helmed by Rvssian (Bad Bunny, Vybz Kartel, Sean Paul), Theron and Stephen McGregor (Drake, Nelly Furtado, Shakira). Discussing the inspiration behind the track, Shenseea had this to say:
“I’ve always shared my gratitude to God and my supporters, I am blessed and grateful for them; and I think this song expresses that, not only for me but for others too.  It’s an empowering and confident song for everybody, I hope my fans will hear this and learn to love themselves for who they are and reflect more on their blessings all while enjoying the sound of good music.”  — Shenseea
Speaking on Shenseea’s signing to Interscope, EVP Joie Manda adds “Interscope always strives to work with artists that can move culture on a global scale. Shenseea is already doing that. She represents Jamaica in a loud and truly authentic voice. We couldn’t be any more pleased to partner with her and Rvssian. Many artists go to Jamaica to learn culture, Shenseea teaches it.”
A seasoned live performer, Shenseea has toured across the world including a European tour with dancehall superstar Sean Paul. About Shenseea —
In less than three years, Shenseea has ascended through Jamaica’s dancehall ranks to become one of the genre’s most sought-after artists. Known for her alluring style and bold delivery of patois rhymes, (called deejaying in Jamaican parlance) Shenseea has already worked with some of dancehall’s top acts. Her 2016 collaboration with dancehall luminary Vybz Kartel, “Loodi,” established Shenseea’s fame throughout Jamaica and the Caribbean. Garnering millions of views on her Youtube channel, Shenseea continued to release music that were instant hits that also worked to empower females, female sexuality while staying true to her Jamaican roots — singles like “Pon Mi,” “Trending Gyal” and “Shenyeng Gang” can be heard loud throughout the islands. Since her initial rise, Shenseea has brought her enigmatic energy and performances to sold out shows and festivals across the Caribbean and internationally. The 22-year old artist is currently at work on her debut album, a collaboration with renowned hit maker, Rvssian marking a huge move to take over the globe with her pop star appeal.
Born Chinsea Lee in Mandeville, Jamaica, Shenseea and her family moved to Kingston, the island’s capital, and the epicenter of reggae and dancehall music, when she was three years old. Like so many great Jamaican vocalists before her, Shenseea developed her love of music while singing in church; throughout her childhood and early teens, primarily listening to American pop and hip-hop; it was during her high school years that she discovered dancehall reggae, and her affinity for performing it. She began posting her renditions of American and Jamaican artists’ songs on her social media pages and received widespread encouragement. In January 2019, Shenseea officially signed to Rvssian’s Rich Immigrants label, a joint venture with Interscope Records.
