“Can U Feel It?” is an uber catchy earworm written by Jason Matu, also of Shapes on Tape, with instant sugar rush production from long-time hit maker, Loren Israel (The Unlikely Candidates, Neon Trees, Plain White T’s, Jimmy Eat World). After years of working together on their various projects in a business capacity, this is the first musical collaboration between Jason and Loren, but it will certainly not be their last.
This song, says Matu, “is inspired by a narrative poem I never wrote that I imagined as a cartoon about a bard on an epic quest called, ‘Jason & The Timid Witch: The Curse on Townsville.’ The track is a jolt of pure energy infused with a lyrical take on the hero’s journey. This is the kind of song I thought he might play at the celebration before he makes his way out of town.”
