Shannon LaBrie – All By Myself

Originally written and recorded by Eric Carmen in 1975, “All By Myself” went on to reach #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been covered by legendary artists including Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, and Celine Dion. “Shannon LaBrie’s haunting and immensely personal recording of ‘All By Myself’ blew me away,” remarks Eric Carmen. “Her achingly gorgeous vocal and stripped down version of my song is unique among the many covers I have heard. It’s not easy to take a song that everyone knows and make it your own. She did, and I love it.”

Filmed at her East Nashville home with director Sarah Holbrook, LaBrie says she chose the space because it’s a “…very old house that feels creative, vulnerable, and safe. Sarah and I both agreed that we wanted the shots to feel as though we were peeking in on something very private and real and I think she did an amazing job of capturing that.”

A Lincoln, NE transplant, Shannon LaBrie has spent the past decade in Nashville crafting poignant ballads that don’t shy away from some of the darker moments in her life. It’s her ability to connect with listeners on a deeply personal level that contributes to her continual growth as a prominent artist.
