Starlite and Rain, by Davin Michael Stedman

NEW SONG ALERT: I trying to get to Adam Kutchman‘s place in one hour to cut this song at his house before work.

I know we’re all busy. I have just never been this busy. I know it’s just a moment, a grind. At some point it looks like I am heading out on tour with Reggae Powerhouse Band on some grand adventures with a band of bad ass Jamaicans.

I have to get back to England to play with Sherlock Soul, aka Lewis HardingScott Rowe, and Alex Roberts.

If I can just keep up this pace for a couple more months. Just about everyone is on that treadmill…trying to keep up.

☆This is a sci fi song about English inventor & professional hairdresser Maurice Ward and his alleged invention of Starlite. His great great great grandfather is singing this song from a mining camp on an asteroid full of indentured servants, because Starlite made it possible. Look up Maurice Ward…and you tell me.

I am going to keep running.

F☆cked around and recorded a song idea on break. I don’t have long predictable luxurious breaks like I used to trimming & packaging, but it is slow today.

Messing around with a rain song. Every band needs a rain song. These toxic levels of smoke and falling ash make a shower in August the harbinger of LIFE.

The air is killing people. Youth games are being cancelled. Imagine a pro football game being cancelled.

For the LOVE of GOD, nature best not take a knee.

☆I am sucker for the pull of major minor movement. That lilt though…

…just the start of something, or passing thought.
