Rozie is the hardest working singer/songwriter in Vancouver, BC (not Vancouver, Washington). She’s been working on this song for a long time and she has just decided that she’s ready to release it.
“I really wanted my music to portray this sort of vibe that I constantly dream of,” says Rozie, “That vibe being soulful, sun-tinged, beach-y, R&B. I wanted this art to stand for everything that I love, and it does just that. This music is exactly who I am and what I would turn on and listen to. The authenticity of this project is something I’m really proud of. But I couldn’t have done it myself. Throughout the process, I began working with producer Waspy from Dirty Radio. When I told him my creative vision, he totally got it.”
“Brown Sugar” features Danny McKinnon (Pomo) on guitar, and, says Rozie, “He totally killed it by the way. Its the beginning of a series of songs that I’m excited to share. I hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making it.”
