Sleater-Kinney – A New Wave – The Bob’s Burgers Video

skbb

Bob’s Burgers is my favorite show of all time. Every night except Sunday I forego whatever’s on now in order to re-watch and re-enjoy the utterly perfect first season of Bob’s Burgers. On Sundays I patiently wait for whatever new episode of Bob’s Burgers awaits me. Sleater-Kinney is one of the most stupendous rock’n roll bands ever to have called Portland home. They had some extraordinarily stirring live shows in the late 90s. Their guitarist Carrie Brownstein is, of course, the star of Portlandia, the television comedy which is spreading the quirks of our fair city across the English-speaking world. In this animated romp, Brownstein, along with bandmates Corin Tucker and Janet Weiss, entertain the Bob’s Burgers children as they dance freely in a cinematic sequence certain to rival Walt Disney’s storied cartoon musical, Fantasia. Sleater-Kinney’s most recent album, No Cities to Love, was released in January. They will perform at sold out shows in Portland and Seattle, May 5th at the Rose City’s Crystal Ballroom and May 8th and 9th at the Showbox in Sea-Town.

In this delightful clip Sleater-Kinney discusses their new album with NPR.
