King Crimson Sets a New World Record for Exhaustively-Documented Musical Indulgence!‏ By Tom Kipp

Now, howzabout this—a FIFTEEN cd box set (14 cds plus one Blu-ray disc, actually) exhaustively documenting a single, 40-minute original album!

Never thought I’d see the day….though I’m not exactly surprised that Mr. Robert Fripp is at the bottom of it! LOL

King Crimson – Larks’ Tongues In Aspic – 40th Anniversary Edition

(limited edition box set preorder)

Larks’ Tongues In Aspic, from 1973, is widely regarded as one of the truly great King Crimson albums.

With its raw tone, inspired improvisations and hard hitting odd-metered rhythms, the album marked a radical departure for this most forward thinking of groups and was the first to include Bill Bruford and John Wetton as band members.

This 15 disc 40th anniversary box set is the ultimate edition of the classic album.

Pre-order now for 15th October release.

By the by, I do quite like the album (which I own on LP and 8-track!), though not so much as RED or IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING, but c’mon already.

I got exhausted just scrolling down to read the product description (via the above link)!

Do you know anyone who’d purchase such a monumental indulgence? At today’s exchange rate that’d be $143.89, plus postage!

Any True “Crim Heads” loitering in your Acquaintance Closet by chance?

The mind simply boggles….
