This new video from PJ Harvey is stunning. The song, ‘Written On The Forehead’, does an amazing job of being a shimmering thing of beauty, as Polly starts off singing about “throwing dinars at the belly dancers” and it is only then that the import of the lyrical content is realised. For me, this is far and away the best thing on the new album. That opinion was only reinforced when I saw her on the recent London dates. Gorgeous work, the best thing I have heard of hers in an age:
