I was accosted at the Old Blue by a local London couple, one of whom had seen New York band, Lion Of Ido, at Hoboken and were mad for it to see them again. I can totally see why. They had a great rock sound, loads of punch, and Ido himself (is that his real name?) has a great voice. If you read my stuff regularly you’ll know I am unimpressed by most male singers of the usual indie persuasion – it takes a bit to get me past ‘bleh’ but these guys sure did that. Well worth seeing if you get half a chance and you want some upfront down dirty rawk.
